DECIDING THE NUMBER OF SHOTS SCORED.
Did you know that if the last bowl sent down is standing on its edge and may fall over, the skip (or the opponent in singles) can ask for a 30 second delay to see if the bowl will fall over.

TOUCHERS.
A bowl is a toucher if, after having come to rest:
- It falls and touches the jack before the next bowl is delivered; or
- In the case of the last bowl of an end, it falls and touches the jack within the period of 30 seconds.
INTERESTING RULES – #2
PLAYING OUT OF TURN
- If a player plays out of turn, the opposing skip can stop the bowl and return it to the player to play it in the proper order.
- If the bowl has come to rest and has not disturbed the head, the opposing skip must choose whether to:
- Leave the head as it is and have their team play two bowls one after the other to get back to the proper order of play, or
- Return the bowl and get back to the proper order of play
- If the bowl has disturbed the head, the opposing skip must choose whether to:
- Leave the disturbed head as it is and have their team play two bowls, one after the other to get back to the proper order of play
- Replace the head to its former position, return the bowl and go back to the proper order of play, or
- Declare the end dead.
INTERESTING RULES – #1
PLAYING ANOTHER PLAYERS BOWL.
- If a player plays another player’s bowl instead of their own, the other player’s bowl must be replaced with the player’s own bowl.
- If the bowl which was replaced was marked or nominated as a toucher, the player’s own bowl must be marked as a toucher.
